Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Give Me A Route, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Give Me A Route. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Account Registration
You may create an account via Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Each person may hold only one account.
Service Description
Give Me A Route generates running routes based on your starting location and preferences. Routes can be exported as GPX and FIT files for use with GPS watches and fitness platforms. The service includes a free ad-supported tier and a paid Pro subscription with additional features.
Subscriptions and Billing
Pro subscriptions are available via Stripe (web) or Apple App Store / Google Play (mobile). Key terms:
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then
- Web subscriptions: Full refund available within 14 days of initial purchase. After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable
- Mobile app purchases: Refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play per their respective policies
Route Safety Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Please read this section carefully.
Routes generated by Give Me A Route are algorithmic suggestions based on map data and user preferences. Routes are not verified for safety, accessibility, or real-world conditions.
You are solely responsible for:
- Assessing route safety before and during your run
- Following local laws and regulations
- Your own physical fitness and wellbeing
- Carrying appropriate safety equipment and identification
We accept no liability for injuries, accidents, property damage, or any other harm arising from following generated routes. Road conditions, trail closures, construction, weather, traffic, and other hazards may exist that are not reflected in map data.
Always exercise caution and common sense. Do not run in unfamiliar areas without taking appropriate safety precautions. If a route looks unsafe, do not follow it.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Give Me A Route in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Intellectual Property
The service, its content, and underlying technology are owned by Give Me A Route. Routes generated for you are yours to use personally. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit the service itself, its algorithms, or its underlying infrastructure.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of routes, map data, elevation profiles, or surface information. Map data may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of:
- AUD $50, or
- The total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or property damage.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Give Me A Route, its operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any harm resulting from following a generated route
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved informally first. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
